5 Letter Words Solver has no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics and no ads. This page explains the little data that's involved when you use the site.

Your clues

The letters you type into the solver are matched on your own device. They're saved in your browser's local storage so they survive a reload, and the solver only reuses them on the same day (UTC). They're replaced the next time you use the solver. To remove them, press Clear or delete this site's data in your browser.

Your clues do leave your browser in two cases, because they become part of the page address: when you press "Open in the solver" on a word list, and when you open a link made with "Copy link". Anyone you share such a link with can see those clues. The copy buttons only write to your clipboard when you press them.

Cookies and tracking

This site doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. Its fonts and scripts are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't contact any other company.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Vercel. As with any website, Vercel's servers process technical request data to deliver pages and keep the service secure, such as your IP address, browser type, the address requested and the time. We don't use this data to identify or profile visitors. See Vercel's privacy policy.

If you email us

We use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed for that.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or to complain to your data protection authority. Because we have no accounts, the only personal data we hold is any email you send us. Write to us and we'll help.

Changes

If we add analytics or ads, or anything else here changes, we'll update this page and the date above first.
