5 Letter Words Solver

Frequently asked questions

Using the solver

How do I enter my Wordle clues?

Type green letters into the box for their position, yellow letters under the position where you saw them (several per box are fine), and every grey letter into the grey field. The list updates as you type.

A letter is grey, but I also have it as green or yellow. What do I enter?

Enter it in both places. The solver never hides a possible answer: when a letter is both grey and green or yellow, it keeps words with that letter rather than guessing how many copies there are.

Can I share my clues or come back to them later?

Yes. "Copy link to these clues" copies a link that opens the solver with your clues filled in. Your clues are also kept in your browser until the end of the day, then cleared, because daily puzzles reset.

Why does the solver find no words?

Usually a clue is in the wrong row: for example, the same letter green and yellow in the same spot, or a letter typed as grey that is really yellow. It can also mean the answer isn't in our list.
