A fast, plain word solver: give it your clues and it shows every five-letter word that fits, with the full lists readable on every page.
What it does
The solver checks 8,636 five-letter words against your green, yellow and grey letters, right in your browser. The word lists (starting with, ending with and containing each letter) are complete on the page: no "show more", no account.
Sources and licences
- Words: the ENABLE word list (Enhanced North American Benchmark Lexicon), in the public domain.
- Word frequency: wordfreq 3.1.1 by Robyn Speer, github.com/rspeer/wordfreq. Its data is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. We use only a rounded frequency score per word, to decide which words count as common.
- Common words: words with a Zipf frequency of 3 or more, roughly once per million words of English. A few vulgar words stay in the solver but are never featured as common.
The lists were last rebuilt on 2026-10-29.

This site isn't affiliated with Wordle, The New York Times, or any game. "Common" is our own frequency measure, not any game's answer list, and every game uses its own dictionary.
